MSc Sport & Exercise Psychology
Toby specialises in Sport & Exercise Psychology, supporting individuals across the full spectrum – from youth elite athletes to recreational adults – both on a 1-to-1 basis and within team environments. He completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Loughborough University, where his MSc research explored the psychological factors contributing to ACL injuries in Premier League players.
Toby has a particular interest in goal setting, confidence building, motivation, and emotional regulation. His work focuses on helping individuals optimise performance while also supporting them through the psychological challenges that can come with injury and rehabilitation.
Working alongside physiotherapy, Toby plays a key role in addressing the emotional impact of injury. He helps clients manage stress and frustration, overcome fear of re-injury, and build the confidence and motivation needed to fully engage with rehabilitation and return to activity.
Toby’s approach is practical, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual. He aims to equip clients with the tools and strategies they need not only to recover, but to perform at their best and maintain long-term resilience.
