Abigail is a Chartered Physiotherapist (MCSP, HCPC) with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Leicester. Alongside her degree, she also holds qualifications in Level 3 Sports Massage and Sports Taping.
Specialisms:
Abigail has a particular interest in knee injuries, especially following her own experience with an MCL injury. This has given her valuable personal insight into the rehabilitation process and the importance of progressive, structured recovery.
Background & Experience:
Sport has always been a big part of Abigail’s life. She played football for many years and, during university, began playing futsal — going on to win a BUCS league and cup double. While studying, Abigail worked with Leicester Tigers Rugby Club as a community first aider, which developed her understanding of acute sports injuries and pitch-side care.
Alongside her work here at Charles Carter Clinics, she is also the physiotherapist for a local football team, where she continues to develop her skills in taping, injury prevention, and return-to-play protocols
